Wazir-e-Azam Laptop Scheme / Prime Minister Laptop Scheme: In this piece of article we will be highlighting all about the Wazir-e-Azam Laptop Scheme/Prime Minister Laptop Scheme program. As we all know that just newly Federal Budget 2013-2014 has been announced by the Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. In this budget there is some specific amount that has been set for the reopening of the Laptop Scheme one more time. This scheme has been organized yet again for the young and intelligent educated students all over the country.
According to this scheme all such students that are currently studying in the well known universities of Pakistan and are certified by Higher Education Commission will be getting the opportunity for claiming the laptops.
RS. 3 BILLION FOR LAPTOP SCHEME:
PML-N has allocated almost Rs. 3 billion in the Federal Budget for this program. Well here we would like to inform up all the students that there would be some sort of eligibility criteria for handing over the laptops. All such students who will be awarded with the laptops they must have to pass through the eligibility that will be set by their universities. Although this criteria will soon be advertised on this webpage as well as soon as it will be proclaimed by the university managements.
BACKGROUND OF LAPTOP SCHEME:
This scheme for distributing the laptops was firstly initiated by the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif in January 2012 in his own province Punjab. In the very first stage he allocated almost 100000 Dell laptops to all the graduates and undergraduate students in the province universities and educational centers. In the next stage as more and more eligible students arrive in the front line Shahbaz Sharif distributed 100000 more laptops under this project.
Although this year this Wazir-e-Azam Laptop Scheme/Prime Minister Laptop Scheme has been associated by the Federal Government and many other additional provinces adding with KPK are also trying out the efforts to introduce the same schemes.
YOUTH PROGRAMS AND SCHOLARSHIPS:
Well apart from the Laptop Scheme there are many youth training programs and scholarships as well that have been allocated for the students in Federal Budget 2013-2014. All such students who are unemployed and has recently done masters they will be honored with the 10,000 scholarships. In addition, loans are also been offered to the students at the cost of Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh as well.
