Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan  is a current Chief Election Commissioner and a retired judge on the Supreme Court of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and former justice of the city state supreme court. He was born in the Namli Maira village within the district of Abbott bad on February 10th 1945.

Raza Khan belongs to a distinguished Sardar Gujjar family in Abbotabad. After, graduating from the govt school of Abbottabad, Khan received an academic degree in economic science from Punjab University through the Forman Christian college Lahore… He received a LL.B. degree from university in 1967. In 1985, Khan visited the USA to review the yank system.

In 2006 he visited capital of Bangladesh, Bangladesh for a conference on the criminal scheme.

Khan joined PCS (Judicial Branch) in 1970 when passing a competitive examination command in 1968–69, and was appointed Senior Civil choose in 1973. In 1976 he took charge of additional District and Sessions judge and in 1979 as a district session judge.

. Khan was Judicial Commissioner for Northern Areas for over four years, and was appointed as a Special judge Customs Taxation and opposing importing in 1992–1993. He was named to the supreme court of Peshawar on December 14th 1993, and confirmed in June 1995.

On April 28th 2000, sardar raza Khan took the oath chief justice of the high court Peshawar. He was named to the Supreme Court and took the oath on January 10th 2002.

After refraining from taking oath on a provincial Constitutional Order on November 3rd 2007, he and eleven alternative judges were far away from the Supreme Court.

On September 19th 2008, when a democratically-elected government came to power, Sardar Raza Khan was reinstated to the court together with his seniority intact.

On September 28, 2007 a nine-member Supreme Court of Islamic Republic of Pakistan bench, in a very split 6–3 finding, command that a petition difficult Pervez Musharraf’s movement for a 2nd term as president was not valid. Khan, head of bench, Rana Bhagwandas and Mian Shakirullah Jaan dissented with the most opinion.
