Importance Of Ramadan | Ramzan-ul-Mubark

The month Ramzan-ul-Mubark has very importance among all Muslims and in Islamic calendar. All Muslim says very warm to this holy month.

As Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said: “It is Allah’s Own month.” It is the leader of all months. As we already know, ‘Fasting’ is one of the main pillars of Islam and it is the month of Ramadan during which fasting has been made mandatory for all adults and sane Muslims.

Welcome Ramadan

The Holy Quran says: “Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Holy Quran, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong).” (2:185).This means that in the month of Ramadan, one should get to know the Holy Quran better. The Holy Quran says: “O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard (against evil).” (2:183)

The blessings of Ramadan are not limited to fasting alone, because the performance of all sorts of worship and good deeds during this month is also a source of great heavenly favor. Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) saw a woman, who was fasting on that day (not in Ramadan), abusing her girl-servant. Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) admonished her and told her to break her fast.

The woman protested: “But I am fasting today”. Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “But was not you’re fast broken by the abuses you were hurling upon that poor girl?”. Every Muslim recites Holy Quran in this month and avoid from sins. Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Surely, the month of Ramazan has been named so because it scorches away the sins.”
