Pakistan’s iconic couturier HSY is set to close Day 01 of Fashion Pakistan Week F/W 2016 with a deconstructed luxury pret collection, “Onyx”.
Inspired by HSY’s vision of a superwoman, Onyx is here to take on the world. She is tenacious, enigmatic and fearless; a `nonconformist who is always in control. Onyx is the woman of today who dresses for success and owns her individuality. Onyx is the hero in all of us.
The colour palette for the collection is almost entirely black where HSY has used a lot of textured fabrics engaged quilting and weaving detailing based in organza, leather, woven fabrics and triple georgette.
“We tip our hat to the maestro Karl Lagerfeld whom I have admired and continue to do so. It’s a collection we derived inspiration from creating a mythical character of Onyx. Onyx is a very different and unique collection for us. You won’t in fact find much embroidery, but instead a focus on textures and silhouettes. We look to present lots of fresh ideas and distinctive detailing in the collection to showcase a line that is both bold and wearable.” said designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin.
