Ninth PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2016

The Pakistan Fashion Design Council [PFDC] announce the dates for their ninth consecutive season of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week [#PSFW16] scheduled to take place in Lahore from 10 – 13 March 2016.

Indeed the 9th PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week marks the fourteenth fashion week initiated by the Pakistan Fashion Design Council [with eight weeks of prêt-à-porter and five of bridal fashion] and is a direct manifestation of the Council’s commitment to sustainability and discipline within the business of fashion and the facilitation of Pakistan’s retail industry.

With #PSFW16, the PFDC en deavours to define and present luxury/pret, high street and lawn/voile trends for 2016, focusing specifically on fashion for the regions’ long hot summer months.

The success of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week continues to prompt textile sector, high-street and fashion associates to grow in their engagement of the platform to launch new collections and campaigns. To this end, continuing with the structured approach to fashion showcases, the PFDC team builds on their commitment to 3 distinct platforms within PSFW with separate and dedicated showcases by Luxury/Prêt designers, High-Street brands and Textile houses. Indeed #PSFW16 will feature some of the season’s most anticipated designer brands and high-street labels and will also serve as a launching platform for some of the S/S’16 season’s designer lawn collections.

9th PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2016PFDC have been accepting participation applications off their official website, for which the criteria is as below:

  • Design Houses/Labels, Textile and High-Street Brands interested in applying must be registered tax payers with the relevant tax authorities in Pakistan.
  • Submission deadline is 26th November 2015.
  • Forms needs to be submitted to PFDC’s head office.

The PFDC will announce participating fashion designers, textile and high-street brands as of February 2016.
