The Directorate of Immigration and Passports has announced a revision in the fee schedule for e-passports issuance within the country.
As per the new passport fee in pakistan updated notification, the cost for a regular 36-page e-passport with a five-year validity has increased to Rs9,000 for normal and Rs15,000 for urgent processing.
For a regular 36-page e-passport with a ten-year validity, the normal fee is Rs13,500 and the urgent fee is Rs22,500. Similarly, the cost for a regular 72-page e-passport with a five-year validity is now Rs16,500 for normal and Rs27,500 for urgent processing. For a ten-year validity, the normal fee is Rs24,750, and the urgent fee is Rs40,500.
The fee schedule applies to diplomatic, official, and ordinary categories, and initially, the e-passport service will only be available in Islamabad. The launch date for other cities will be announced later.
