Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), initiated the launch of the Dubai Future Fellowship program on April 9th.
As per the Dubai Media Office, the program aims to engage current and future leaders in the economy to contribute towards shaping Dubai’s policies, regulations, and business practices. Its primary goal is to enhance Dubai’s leading regional and global role as a hub for nurturing the most promising innovators of the future.
The Dubai Future Fellowship program will bring together prominent experts, entrepreneurs, innovators, and members of international organizations and institutions. It will focus on consolidating Dubai’s leadership and influence in the development of key sectors.
Sheikh Hamdan expressed, “Through the establishment of the Dubai Future Fellowship overseen by the Dubai Future Foundation, we aspire to provide a platform for impactful discussions on creating a better future for all. This initiative marks another significant milestone in Dubai’s journey to becoming a leading city of the future by fostering strong partnerships.”

Sheikh Hamdan further added, “Dubai continues to invest in designing the future. This initiative will serve as a source and sounding board for new initiatives and opportunities to strengthen Dubai’s economic competitiveness and its position as one of the world’s best places to live. The fellows participating in the program will serve as trusted advisors who can help us develop new concepts that will enhance Dubai’s readiness to embrace changes in the economy, technology, education, and all aspects of our daily lives.”
He emphasized the importance of collaborating with individuals who possess intimate knowledge of Dubai and its surroundings as part of their efforts to anticipate, design, and execute the future. These efforts are based on the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Dubai Future Fellowship
Overview Sheikh Hamdan explained, “The fellows will collaborate to anticipate the future of key sectors, identify and seize opportunities, and study potential challenges. They will also shed light on significant global transformations, emerging technologies, and new economic sectors.”
The Dubai Future Fellowship program will encompass a wide range of specialized fields, including health, education, technology, entrepreneurship, retail, environment, banking, commerce, real estate, media and entertainment, law, arts, tourism, hospitality, sports, and space, among others.
It will establish an international network comprising distinguished personalities and experts recognized for their achievements in government, economics, technology, and future-oriented sectors. This network will play a crucial role in developing and implementing forward-looking strategies in Dubai and the UAE.
A Focus on the Future The Dubai Future Fellowship program will contribute to enhancing Dubai’s global competitiveness rankings by providing recommendations for various key sectors. It will address challenges, identify opportunities, and propose new initiatives to further develop these sectors.
The fellows will convene regular meetings and workshops to discuss the future of key sectors in Dubai. Additionally, they will prepare annual reports and launch specialized programs and initiatives.
Furthermore, the members will assist in identifying the key sectors that will drive Dubai’s future economy. They will recommend solutions to issues and foster collaboration between the public and private sectors, locally and internationally, to achieve this objective.
