Pakistan Vs India Asia Cup 2023

In what promises to be a riveting clash, two cricketing giants, India and Pakistan, are set to face off in the Asia Cup 2023.

The much-anticipated tournament is scheduled to kick off on August 30, 2023, and will witness a historic shift with a hybrid model of hosting. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will jointly host the event, marking Pakistan’s first time hosting since 2008.

The decision for the hybrid model arose due to the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) refusal to send the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the tournament. After extensive negotiations involving the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), it was agreed that Pakistan would remain a host while Sri Lanka would also host a portion of the matches.

The tournament’s schedule has been unveiled by the ACC, detailing Pakistan’s role as hosts for four matches, including three group stage games and a super fours match. The remaining matches, along with the grand finale, will be held in Sri Lanka. The Asia Cup 2023 is set to run from August 30 to September 17, with Multan hosting the opening match and Colombo preparing for the final showdown.

Of immense interest is the match between arch-rivals India vs Pakistan, scheduled for September 2nd, 2023, at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka. This high-stakes encounter will be followed by India’s game against Nepal on September 4th at the same venue.
